On the Organization of this prize, the celebration of the annual ceremony and the full list of the 50 best restaurants in the world I have spoken just a few hours. Now we want to focus on the Eleven Madison Park, the restaurant that takes first place at Osteria Francescana and that moves to El Celler de Can Roca in third position.

Chef: Daniel Humm
In front of the Madison Square Park is the chef Daniel Humm, who also is in charge of the prestigious kitchen of The NoMad and NoMad Bar of the NoMad Hotel. Its cuisine is based, as we have already mentioned, in the use of locally produced ingredients. His creations are simple and pure, but packed with flavors of the season.
This Swiss based in New York has been working in catering since I was 14 years old. His passion for cooking led him to get a first Michelin star at age 24 and moving to San Francisco (USA) in 2003 to be at the forefront of the kitchens of Campton Place. Three years later he moved to New York to become executive chef of Eleven Madison Park.
Today, Daniel Humm is co-owner of Eleven Madison Park, The NoMad and NoMad Bar and seems to convert everything he touches into gold. The list of awards in its three businesses is wide. The newly recognized “best restaurant in the world” is also holder of three Michelin stars, four-star New York Times and six awards from the James Beard Foundation. The NoMad has a Michelin three-star New York Times, and an award from the James Beard Foundation.
With the proclamation of Eleven Madison Park is of course that the cuisine of the United States is at the top. We remind that American gastronomic selection, headed by chef Mathew Peters (of the restaurant Per Se in New York), holds the Gold Medal of the prestigious Bocuse d’Or. Perhaps time to change of opinion with respect to the Anglo-Saxon kitchen.
